Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS)

Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS) is a statewide nonprofit organization that supports, educates, and advocates for people and families impacted by brain injury. It provides a Family Helpline and information/resource clearinghouse, support groups, advocacy, care and resource navigation, and specialized programs for children, adults, caregivers, and professionals. Its FACTS Program provides free support to New York families when a child or family member sustained a brain injury before age 22, including help navigating services, accessing rehabilitation and Medicaid waiver programs, connecting with support groups, and understanding the special education process.
