Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity, Inc., doing business as Little Oaks Center for Neurodevelopment (collectively, “Little Oaks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit littleoakscenter.org or another website or online service that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”), communicate with us, make a donation, register for an event, subscribe to updates, or submit information for consideration in the Little Oaks Resource Hub.
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not provide personal information through the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you interact with Little Oaks, we may collect:
Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address.
Communications and requests, including information you provide through contact forms, email, surveys, feedback, or other correspondence.
Newsletter and outreach information, such as your email address and communication preferences.
Donation information, such as your name, contact details, donation amount, date, campaign, dedication information, and related records. Payment-card and other financial information is generally collected and processed directly by our third-party payment or fundraising provider rather than by Little Oaks.
Event information, such as registration, ticketing, attendance, accessibility requests, and information needed to administer an event.
Resource Hub submissions, such as your contact information, your relationship to a resource, information about a recommended resource, conflict or compensation disclosures, and related correspondence.
Other information you choose to provide to us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, dates and times of visits, interactions with the Site, approximate location derived from an IP address, and cookie or similar-technology identifiers.
Sensitive information
Please do not submit a child’s or another person’s name, diagnosis, medical or mental-health information, medical or educational records, treatment history, school information, date of birth, government identification number, financial-account information, or other private or sensitive information through a general contact form or Resource Hub submission. Little Oaks does not ask Resource Hub contributors to provide that information. If you inadvertently submit sensitive information, please contact us so that we can address it appropriately.
2. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our programs;
respond to questions, requests, feedback, and other communications;
process and acknowledge donations and maintain legally required records;
administer events, registrations, programs, and accessibility arrangements;
send newsletters, program updates, fundraising communications, and other messages you request or that we otherwise may lawfully send;
review, verify, curate, edit, accept, decline, update, or remove Resource Hub submissions and contact submitters or listed resources;
understand Site use and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and communications;
detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, misuse, security incidents, or other harmful activity;
comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms and policies, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Little Oaks and others; and
carry out another purpose described when information is collected or with your consent.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for Site operation or that help us understand Site traffic and performance. These technologies may collect device and usage information over time.
You can often control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through controls presented on the Site. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality. Little Oaks does not use advertising pixels on health- or diagnosis-related Resource Hub pages unless those technologies have received a separate privacy review and are described appropriately in this Policy.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We may provide information to vendors that support website hosting, communications, analytics, fundraising and payment processing, event administration, document storage, information technology, security, and professional services. They may use the information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by their own notices and applicable law.
Resource Hub administration. When reasonably necessary to review or verify a submission, we may contact a listed resource and, if you authorize us to do so, identify you as the submitter.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property; prevent fraud or misuse; or respond to an emergency.
Organizational transactions. We may transfer information in connection with a merger, reorganization, transfer of assets or programs, dissolution, or similar organizational event, subject to applicable law.
With your direction or consent. We may disclose information for another purpose that we explain when you provide it or when you ask or authorize us to do so.
Little Oaks does not sell personal information for money. Little Oaks does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Donations and Other Third-Party Services
Donations, event registrations, embedded content, social-media features, and other functions may be operated by third parties, including fundraising or payment providers such as Givebutter. When you interact with a third-party service, that provider may collect information directly from you under its own privacy policy and terms. Little Oaks may receive transaction details and donor or registrant information from the provider, but generally does not receive full payment-card information.
The Site may link to websites or services that Little Oaks does not control. This Policy does not govern those third parties, and Little Oaks is not responsible for their privacy, security, content, or practices. Please review their policies before providing information.
6. Communications Choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional or fundraising emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional communications, such as messages responding to your request, administering an event or donation, or addressing legal or security matters.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to administer programs and relationships, maintain appropriate donation and tax records, meet legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, protect against fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type and sensitivity of information, the purpose for which it was collected, and applicable requirements. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
8. Data Security
Little Oaks uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use care when transmitting information online and do not use general Site forms to send sensitive information.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for parents, caregivers, self-advocates who are at least 18 years old, professionals, and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and Little Oaks does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. Resource Hub recommendations must be submitted by a person who is at least 18 years old.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Little Oaks through the Site, please contact us. We will review the report and take appropriate steps, which may include deleting the information. If Little Oaks later offers an online feature directed to children or knowingly collects personal information online from a child under 13, it will provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before doing so.
10. Your Privacy Requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you provided to us, or to ask a question about our privacy practices. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required or permitted by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
11. International Visitors
Little Oaks is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Site and revise the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as appropriate.

Resource Disclosure and Conflicts Policy

Purpose
Little Oaks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Little Oaks is committed to providing community members with honest, unbiased information and resources. This Policy establishes standards for transparency regarding any relationships between Little Oaks and the organizations, products, or services it features or recommends.
No Compensation for Resource Listings
Little Oaks does not accept payment, donations, gifts, or any other form of compensation in exchange for featuring, recommending, or linking to any organization, product, or service on its website or social media channels, unless that relationship is explicitly disclosed to the community. Resources included on our website resource page and shared through our social media channels are curated based on the personal experience of our founder, feedback from our community, or the judgment of our board, not on the basis of any financial arrangement.
Disclosure of Material Relationships
Where Little Oaks has a material relationship with a featured organization or resource, including formal strategic partnerships, affiliate arrangements, or any arrangement under which Little Oaks receives compensation or other benefit, that relationship will be clearly disclosed in the following manner:
On the website: a visible label on the specific resource listing identifying the nature of the relationship.
On social media: a clear disclosure in the post itself (e.g., "Paid partnership with [Name]"), consistent with FTC guidelines.
Board Oversight
The Little Oaks board of directors is responsible for overseeing the organization's resource curation practices and ensuring compliance with this Policy. Any proposed strategic partnership or compensated arrangement involving a resource recommendation must be reviewed and approved by the board before implementation. Board members with a personal or financial interest in any such arrangement must recuse themselves from the relevant discussion and vote.
Questions and Concerns
Community members who have questions about this Policy, or who wish to report a concern about a resource listing, are encouraged to contact Little Oaks directly. We are committed to transparency and to maintaining the trust of the families we serve.
Amendments
This Policy may be amended by the board of directors at any time. The current version will be maintained on the Little Oaks website.

This Resource Hub is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, mental health, therapeutic, educational, legal, financial, or other professional advice and does not create a professional or provider-client relationship. Little Oaks does not independently guarantee the qualifications, licensure, availability, safety, effectiveness, accuracy, or suitability of any listed resource. Inclusion does not constitute an endorsement. Families should independently evaluate resources and consult an appropriately qualified professional regarding their individual circumstances.
Provider Description Disclaimer
Qualified developmental health professionals may evaluate developmental, behavioral, or learning concerns and, depending on their credentials and scope of practice, may provide diagnoses, referrals, or care coordination. Confirm each provider’s credentials, services, availability, fees, and insurance participation directly.

Little Oaks has not independently tested the products and does not warrant their safety, effectiveness, or suitability for any particular child. Resource Submission Terms
Effective date: August 7, 2026
These Resource Submission Terms (“Terms”) govern your submission of a resource recommendation, information, or related material through the Little Oaks Resource Hub submission form (a “Submission”).
In these Terms, “Little Oaks,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Little Oaks Center for Neurodiversity, Inc., doing business as Little Oaks Center for Neurodevelopment. “You” and “your” mean the person submitting information through the form.
By checking the acknowledgment box and submitting the form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy link]. If you do not agree, do not submit the form.
1. Purpose of the Resource Hub
Little Oaks operates the Resource Hub to help identify products, providers, services, organizations, programs, events, educational materials, and other resources that members of our community may wish to explore.
The Resource Hub is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, mental-health, therapeutic, educational, legal, financial, or other professional advice. A Resource Hub listing does not create a provider-client, professional-client, or other professional relationship with Little Oaks.
2. Eligibility
You may submit a recommendation only if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal ability to agree to these Terms.
By submitting a recommendation, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you are submitting information on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
3. Submission Rules
You may submit information about a resource that you believe may be relevant to the Little Oaks community. Your Submission must be truthful, relevant, and based on your own experience or knowledge.
Do not submit:
A child’s or another person’s name, photograph, date of birth, diagnosis, medical or educational records, treatment history, school information, IEP, Section 504 plan, clinician information, or other private or sensitive information.
Government identification numbers, insurance member numbers, financial account information, passwords, copies of identity documents, or similarly sensitive personal information.
Defamatory, false, misleading, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, unlawful, or infringing content.
Content that violates a confidentiality obligation, privacy right, intellectual property right, or other legal right of another person or organization.
Content presented as an emergency request, report of imminent harm, or request for immediate medical, mental health, legal, or safety assistance.
Files, attachments, links, or other material that contain malware, harmful code, or content unrelated to the proposed resource.
You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed before providing information about a resource, organization, person, or third-party content.
4. Conflict and Incentive Disclosure
You must disclose any material relationship that you, an immediate family member, your employer, or an organization with which you are affiliated has with the recommended resource.
A material relationship may include an ownership, employment, contractor, governance, donor, family, referral, financial, or other relationship; payment; free or discounted products or services; or anything else of value offered or received in connection with the resource or your recommendation.
Failure to disclose a material relationship may result in Little Oaks declining, removing, or correcting a Submission or listing. If Little Oaks publishes a listing involving a disclosed relationship, Little Oaks may describe the relationship in a manner it determines appropriate for transparency. Material connections that could affect the credibility of an endorsement generally require clear and conspicuous disclosure.
5. Review and Editorial Discretion
Little Oaks may, but is not required to, review any Submission. We may contact you, if you authorize follow-up, or contact the resource using publicly available contact information.
At our sole discretion, Little Oaks may verify publicly available information; request clarification; edit, summarize, categorize, format, decline, publish, temporarily suspend, update, archive, or remove any Submission or Resource Hub listing at any time, with or without notice.
Submitting a resource does not guarantee inclusion in the Resource Hub. Little Oaks is not required to explain a decision to decline, modify, remove, or prioritize a Submission or listing.
Little Oaks may apply additional or enhanced review procedures to higher-risk categories, including healthcare, therapy, childcare, legal, financial, benefits, crisis, and educational resources. Any review is limited, may rely on public information, and is not a guarantee that a resource is safe, qualified, licensed, available, accurate, effective, affordable, accessible, appropriate, or suitable for any person.
6. No Endorsement or Recommendation
Inclusion in the Resource Hub does not constitute an endorsement, referral, certification, approval, recommendation, ranking, guarantee, or warranty by Little Oaks.
Little Oaks does not independently guarantee the qualifications, licensure, safety, effectiveness, accuracy, availability, cost, accessibility, privacy practices, or suitability of a listed resource. Families, caregivers, self-advocates, and other users should independently evaluate each resource and consult appropriately qualified professionals regarding their individual circumstances.
Little Oaks does not test products or represent that products are medical devices, treatments, or appropriate for any particular child or individual unless Little Oaks expressly states otherwise.
7. Permission to Use Submissions
You retain ownership of original content you submit. However, by making a Submission, you grant Little Oaks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, store, review, copy, edit, adapt, summarize, translate, format, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use your Submission for operating, improving, promoting, and maintaining the Resource Hub and Little Oaks’ mission-related programs.
This license includes permission to publish an edited or summarized description of the recommended resource without identifying you personally, unless Little Oaks separately obtains your permission to identify you. Little Oaks is not obligated to use any Submission.
You represent and warrant that you have the rights and permissions necessary to grant this license and that Little Oaks’ use of the Submission as permitted by these Terms will not violate another person’s rights or applicable law.
8. Privacy and Data Handling
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy (above), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Please provide only information reasonably necessary for us to evaluate the resource. Do not include sensitive personal information about yourself, a child, or another person. If you choose to provide contact information and authorize follow-up, Little Oaks may use that information to contact you about your Submission. Little Oaks will not include your contact information in a public Resource Hub listing without your separate permission.
Little Oaks will take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures appropriate to the nature of the information it maintains. However, no website, online form, email system, or data-storage system is completely secure, and Little Oaks cannot guarantee absolute security. New York’s SHIELD Act requires covered entities that maintain New York residents’ private information to use reasonable safeguards to protect its security, confidentiality, and integrity.
9. No Emergency or Crisis Use
The submission form is not monitored for emergencies and must not be used to request immediate medical, mental-health, legal, safety, or crisis assistance.
If there is an immediate danger or emergency, call 911 or contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service. Little Oaks does not guarantee that it will review a Submission within any particular timeframe or respond to concerns raised in a Submission.
10. External Resources and Third Parties
A Resource Hub listing may include information, links, contact details, or other content relating to third-party resources. Little Oaks does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, organizations, providers, products, services, availability, privacy practices, content, conduct, policies, or changes.
Your interactions with a third-party resource are solely between you and that third party. You should review the third party’s terms, privacy practices, qualifications, fees, insurance participation, accessibility information, and other relevant information directly.
11. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Oaks and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or other damages arising from or related to:
Your Submission or Little Oaks’ handling of it.
A decision to publish, not publish, edit, categorize, suspend, update, or remove a Submission or listing.
Your reliance on, use of, inability to use, or interaction with a Resource Hub listing or third-party resource.
Errors, omissions, inaccuracies, outdated information, broken links, unavailable services, third-party conduct, or third-party content.
Any unauthorized access to, loss of, or alteration of information submitted through the form.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to These Terms
Little Oaks may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Your use of the submission form after an update takes effect means that you accept the updated Terms.
If a change materially affects how Little Oaks uses previously submitted personal information, Little Oaks will handle that information as described in the Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, a Submission, or the Resource Hub must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking emergency equitable relief from a court with appropriate jurisdiction.
14. Severability and No Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Little Oaks’ failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of its right to enforce that provision later.
